Science and technology parks as a socioeconomic institution in the development of technology, and consequently the development of knowledge-based economics and specialized employment for the establishment and professional presence of technology companies, have a role and place of influence in developed countries.

Science and Technology parks aiming at creating synergies and developing constructive relationships between researchers and technologists on the one hand, industry owners and investors, on the other hand, and government agencies as a third party, for the establishment of knowledge-based economics and the completion of the cycle of transformation of science into wealth (and value) have been created.

Science and technology parks have enhanced the effectiveness of academic research and science centers by providing groundwork for the creation, development, and support of companies based on new and applied technologies and enhancing the commercialization of new ideas.

East Azarbaijan Science and Technology Park has put in place the following programs to achieve its goals, relying on the force of faith and self-esteem of the researchers, technicians and youth of the province:

• Increasing the park's cooperation with other science and technology parks inside and outside the country, especially neighboring countries, to expand the export of the knowledge-based goods and services;
• Increasing constructive interactions with the universities of the province, effective cooperation with institutions, organizations and especially the special area of ​​science and technology to fulfill the provincial grand plans;
• Increase park participation in national and international projects;
• Role of the park in solving provincial problems such as industrial problems, social damages, environmental protection, water resources and issues related to Lake Urmia;
• Identify powerful researchers and young people with ideas and creativity, and support and encourage them to carry out major missions to create wealth for the country.

It is hoped that with the help of Allah Almighty and with determination, we will witness tremendous developments in various fields of technology development and the development of the knowledge-based economy at the national and international levels.
