As the name suggests, an incubator is a place that encourages new businesses to develop. In this center, newly-¬established corporations and companies present their innovative ideas and projects and are then supported by the park to lead them to success. The Park helps them to achieve their goals through less risky ways, giving them wanted advice and supervision in investing in profit-oriented regions.

East Azarbaijan science & technology park’s incubator first began its activity in 2003 under topic "incubator of information & communication technology" unit (ICT) by the goal of develop & growth of small and medium enterprises (‘SMEs’) and aiding to enterpreneur teams leading them on the path of reduction of technologist ideas to product and extremely after 2- year successful activity, by admission of the Ministry of Science, Research & Technology, expanded to incubator of innovative units.

Activity fields of Incubator are as follow:

Mechanic & Automobile parts
Information Technology (IT)
Information & Communication Technology (ICT).
Chemical industries & Polymer
Electricity& Electronic
Commercial & advanced technologies.

Certainly, depends on some qualification itll be welcome to any technology- based ideas in other fields.

Pre-incubators are for non-registered corporations (they are not yet ready to be registered) or for those corporations that dont have the needed qualifications to be in the incubator center. These research groups can stay in the Pre-¬Incubator center for maximum 9 months. In this one year they must get their work force together and have their request ready to join the incubator center. The services available for these groups are limited and free.

EAST-park have supported 40 tenant companies and 150 SMEs at incubator and pre-incubator from 2003 and now it consists 23 tenant companies and 34 companies at incubator.
